The Blue World, which represents logic, is always under siege by Nightfly O'Note monsters from the Red World, which represents instinct. Akira Asagi, a 17-year-old Blue World researcher, is nominated to head the war at Ryuukyuu LAG, a proud defensive station on the islands of Ishigaki and Iriomote. She encounters the sixth fighting unit "IS," which was founded four years after the fifth unit was decimated in a terrible battle.
