Jonathan "Jonah" Mar, a child soldier raised in a battle zone, despises guns and people who sell them. But when Koko Hekmatyar, an international guns dealer, hires Jonah as one of her bodyguards, he is forced to arm himself. Jonah, along with Koko's fellow bodyguards, largely former special-ops troops, is now entrusted with defending Koko and her overly idealistic objective of global peace from the numerous perils that come with her line of work. Jormungand follows Koko, Jonah, and the rest of the crew as they trade guns throughout the world for the multinational shipping corporation HCLI. Because Koko's activity is unlawful under international law, she is continually compelled to avoid both local and international authorities while conducting business.
