Minato and a buddy attend a recitation at an anime event. He is intrigued by the talents of the voice actors and decides to enroll in Suidoubashi Animation Academy. There, he meets Chikako, a former resident of the room he is moving into who left a message on a USB drive. Minato, who aspires to be a voice actress but is unable to immerse himself in the part, and Chikako, who suffers from a prior trauma, encourage and support one another. They attempt to mature with the support of seniors such as Ryouta and Kei who keep an eye on them. What is ahead for them both as they stumble and worry?
