On the island of Regalo, the Arcana Famiglia, a clan of supernaturally powered mafia-like defenders, keep the inhabitants safe from those who would harm them. Members of their organization have varied talents, such as overwhelming strength, invisibility, or the ability to see into someone's heart, according to tarot card contracts. Mondo, their leader and family's "Papa," announces his impending retirement during his birthday party. He intends to hold the Arcana Duello, a competition in which the winner will be granted the title of Papa and whatever wish they choose if they win. But there's more at stake than simply a title: Mondo has decided that the winner will marry Felicità, his daughter. The strong-willed Felicit is enraged by this.
